Maria Montessori
"To assist a child, we must provide him with an environment that will enable him to develop freely."
Explore our Parent-Toddler Class
This group meets weekly in a small, intimate setting of 6 adults and 6 toddlers. The environment is prepared with “stage-appropriate” toys and materials offering plenty of opportunities for children to develop emerging gross and fine motor skills, and language, and explore sensory experiences through different manipulatives, art, music, and food preparation.
In this class we will
Follow the Child
The playgroup is guided by Maria Montessori's respectful caregiving principles. We practice an intentional time where we are present to our child's play.
Support Independence
We spend time observing how the children are interacting with the environment and noticing where they tend to spend their time.
Respect
Together we practice supporting the emerging fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, and relational skills of our children.
