Parent-Toddler Playgroup: THURSDAYS

Service Description

This playgroup meets for 8 weeks. Welcome to our Parent-toddler playgroup in a Montessori inspired space. With increasing mobility, toddlers want to explore more, they are increasingly curious about their environments and the world around them. In this playgroup, we will learn to follow their interests, see what they are ready for, notice their emerging skills as they manipulate toys and materials thoughtfully prepared to engage these skills. This playgroup offers opportunities for expressive, dynamic and purposeful play. Parents and caregivers can take home tools to support their parenting journey and ideas to support their environments at home. The environment is thoughtfully prepared with many opportunities for children to explore different materials, engage in activities, work through conflicts, play independently and see themselves in relationships with their peers. We will also have conversations about this developmental stage, how we can support their independence, their curiosity about the world that is so new to them and how we can set boundaries respectfully. We invite you to be a part of our growing community, take home ideas, and enjoy this quality time with your child. We welcome you to a community of warm, supportive families along with some guidance to support your parenting journey. Prorated fees are available for those joining this session after it has begun.
