Service Description

Welcome to our Parent-toddler classes inspired by Montessori and RIE. This class is for toddlers 14 months & actively walking up to 3/ 3.5 years and a parent. Your toddler is exploring his new found mobility, curiosity about the world and a quest for independence. Toddlers explore with all their senses, they are busy investigating their environments, they want to mimic the adults around them and they want to develop their emerging skills and interests while feeling like a contributing member of their family. In these classes, we will revisit this world through the child's eyes that are always full of wonder and awe. We will discuss what it means to slow down, follow their pace, and how to support their emerging skills and interests. We will lean into the following topics during the span of our 5 classes in June: - Introduction to the exploratory mind of a toddler. - Leaning into observations. - Noticing the world through your child's eyes. - The prepared environment. - How observations offer us information to guide and support the child. The environment is thoughtfully prepared with many opportunities for children to explore different materials, engage in activities, work through conflicts, play independently and see themselves in relationships with their peers.
